Cookie Policy
Version 4.1 · Effective 6 May 2026
The short version
Octar Studio does not use website tracking technologies. We do not set cookies on octarstudio.uk, and the third-party services we use (Vercel, Fathom Analytics) are explicitly cookieless. No tracking pixels, no analytics cookies, no marketing cookies. For a full picture of how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit it. Cookies are used for many things — remembering preferences, keeping you logged in, tracking how a website is used, or showing personalised ads.
UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, or PECR) requires websites to tell you what cookies they use, get your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and let you control or refuse them.
2. Cookies set by octarstudio.uk
None. Octar Studio's website does not set any cookies under our own domain.
We do not use:
- Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics tracker
- Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags, or any advertising trackers
- Marketing automation cookies
- Personalisation or A/B testing tools
- Session replay or heatmap tools
This is by design. We've built Octar Studio to operate without behavioural tracking.
3. Cookies and embedded third-party services
3.1 Vercel (hosting and analytics)
Our site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel provides cookieless analytics for visitor data and cookieless performance monitoring — collecting anonymised request data using request hashing, with no cookies set on your browser. Full details at vercel.com/legal/cookie-policy.
3.2 Fathom Analytics
We use Fathom Analytics for privacy-first website analytics on octarstudio.uk and on every site we build for clients. Fathom is cookieless by design — no cookies are set on your device, and Fathom does not capture personal identifiers. EU/UK visitor data is processed on EU infrastructure under Fathom's EU isolation mode. Full details at usefathom.com/legal/privacy.
4. How to control cookies in your browser
You can control or block cookies through your browser's settings. For up-to-date guidance covering all major browsers and devices, the UK Information Commissioner's Office maintains clear instructions at ico.org.uk/your-data-matters/online.
5. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if we add or change embedded services on our website. The current version is always published at octarstudio.uk/legal/cookies.
